The beach is unfortubately far from what is depicted in fotos. The beach itself (water, sand) is fine, but the terrible view once inside the water as you look into half constructed building & similar, kill any joy. Nice peaceful and quite village in the north of Koh Phangan with an intact local community. Two Seven Elevens and some local supermarkets as well as a drug store, diving centers and several nice restaurants are located in Chaloklum. Taxi boat services to the beaches of Haad Kkom, Bottle beach or Thong Nai Pan are offered at the pier or near Viva Pizzeria.Guest review byAndreasGermany

It is in a little area with other local houses and it feels a bit like living in a Thai village. The house is well built and well equipped (fridge, kettle, balcony furniture etc). The very nice beach is about 2 minutes walk, and so is a 7/11. The village is very quiet but you will find a few restaurants to chose from. We loved Madam Saak thong, so yummy. Very close to the restaurants in Chaloklum. For breakfast, consider World's End closeby as the resort does not offer any breakfast. Bungalows are clean and nicely prepared. There had been three previous complaints for the same person and nothing was done about it. I was told to fill out a police report and the manager said she phoned the police three times and they did't come to the hotel. I just happen to be an honest person, they are not.
