The breakfast is great. You get buffet for toast, fruit...but also fresh make warm dish from the restaurant of the hotel. Coffee is from the bar, fresh make as well, amazing. The rooms are spacious and clean. Facilities are modern but stylish. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. We love it .

Nice quiet location, clean room, comfy bed, and fridge stocked with water. The hotel manager (Cam or Gam, not sure how to spell) was the best! She took great care of us and would ask us if we needed anything and come through every time. At nights she invited us to hang out and have beers with with her and her friends. I learned about ice cubes in the Singha. I would balk at that back home, but hey when in Chiang Rai…

Room size is good and clean. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom heater and water power is good. Very cool air conditioner. Simple snacks and hot beverages (coffee machine) available for breakfast. And free bottles of herbal drinks also available at reception. There're other cold beverages and frozen food for sale (microwave available). Location is good as along the main rod and with Big C just across the road.

Place is very well maintained and owner is very friendly and positive. I extended my stay several times. Compared to places that cost 3-4 times more it is so much better. If essentials are what you need, you will feel nice here. There is a 7/11 close by, a muay thai gym and good massage parlors in the vicinity. Place is secure and housekeeping is done everyday.

    Very laid-back city.

    Very laid-back city. Many adventures to be had in the area around like tea plantations, Golden Triangle, and the local temples. However, the city itself is really very nice. So many good restaurant options - in fact too many to choose from. We will need to come back and explore further on the next visit.

    I wasn’t sure about taking the extra trip to Chiang Rai but it was so worth it. It’s a more relaxed vibe than Chiang Mai. It feels very authentically Thailand with beautiful scenery. There’s lots to explore close by and compared to anywhere else I’ve travelled in Thailand I found it cheaper. There’s a great Saturday night market where lots of the locals come together for food, music and dancing.

    We loved the slower pace of Chiang Rai, being smaller meant it was easier to walk to local landmarks. Walking street on Saturday is a must, it is an amazing market that goes for miles. Unfortunately the paving and foot paths are not maintained very well so caution is needed while walking. The clock tower light show every night at 7,8 and 9pm was a disappointment. I was expecting lots of colours and music but no, very overrated. Temple tours are a must.

    Was not a lot to see or do compared to Chiang Mai but was ok and the highlight was a trip to the golden triangle The night Bazar was ok but got boring seeing the same food in every shop in the food court

    A good location to connect if Golden triangle is part of the trip just 50 mins from Chiangrai. Also a good connection if travel from Chiangmai. In Chiangrai there are so many 1-day side trips like Doi Chang and many.

    Favorite spots: 1.

    Favorite spots: 1. Baan Daam (black House) Mus. - 80 baht per person, interesting looking buildings and a different experience from other things in the city. 2. Rong Suea (blue temple) - very beautiful temple with some outside areas as well, plenty of restaurants next to the actual temple. There is also a beautiful pagoda behind the temple. Free admission. 3. Wat Rong Khun (white temple) - A large complex with the white temple at the forefront. West of the actual temple is a golden shrine surrounded by a moat (you can get to it via a short bridge). 100 baht per person. 4. Wat Phrathat Doi Khao Kwai - A mountain temple with a dog like statue next to it. This temple is great mainly for the fact it also serves as an observation point (on the city). Free admission. 5. Wat Huay Pla Kang - A large white Buddha statue (that you can get inside of), a white temple and another almost pyramid like temple/pagoda. The area is lit up at night and looks great. Free admission. 6. Golden Triangle (day trip) - the border area between Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. only 1 hour away by car (I booked a private taxi). House of Opium Museum (50 baht) is great, there is also a temple that has great views of the surrounding area and a viewpoint close to the river beside a golden Buddha statue. Great for 2 or 3 hours. Food: There are plenty of restaurants around the clock tower with many different types of food. Getting around: Taxi or private car, the attractions are too spread out for walking and public transportation isn't really a thing. Taxis are cheap though!

    The hotel is in a decent location, around 10 minutes from the city center. It looks modern and pretty new. Our room was good size and clean. I really liked the japanese style toilet (I wish it was a standard everywhere). The pool is decent, but it has a cold water. It was refreshing for me, but it may not be for everyone. The pool area is small, just a few sunbeds. The breakfast is pretty average, few warm choices and some fruit, but it gets the job done. Overall for the price it was very good. We even got a nice welcome drink.

    The setting by the river was peaceful and lovely. Thai food in the Terrace restaurant was very good, the prices reasonable for a hotel, and the servings large. We didn't bother eating elsewhere as the food was so good. Another guest said the Italian restaurant was very good too, but we didn't try it. The infinity pool was lovely. The day spa was excellent, the masseurs very good. Prices are probably a bit cheaper in town, but the massages still cost half the price I would have paid at home.
