If you are looking to do some muay Thai in Koh Phangan, this is a great place to stay as it was a couple of good gyms. There's also a good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants in the area, and it's walking distance from the pier. This hotel is not a party place.
This hotel is not a party place. It is for relaxation and serenity. The town is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The pier, 7/11, bakery and many bars and restaurants. Tons of scooters which are basically the only mean of transportation if you don’t want to walk. A nice night market open nightly with good food and souvenirs. After being in Koh Samui for over a month as older people we enjoyed Thongsala because of the ease of walking to town. If you like to shop you will find hundreds of typical beach shopping. The town itself is surprisingly quite big. Definitely on top of our list for favorite beach town.Guest review byHuguette

The pool is gorgeous and open 24/7, and there’s an open kitchen you can use if you want to cook. From the pool, you can see a sort of river—and we even spotted a monitor lizard! You can walk everywhere from the hotel—it’s within walking distance of Pantip Market. The staff here went above and beyond and are honestly amazing at their jobs. We had an issue being charged twice, they were very efficient sorted it straight away for us and didn't want to cause any problems for us. I had a massage at this hotel and it was the best in Thailand. Would definitely recommend visiting the spa.
