We had the most amazing 3-day stay at Mira Capadocia, and I can't recommend it enough, especially for families! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel is super family-friendly. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the owner is genuinely one of the kindest and most welcoming people we've met on our travels. One of the things we loved most about Mira Capadocia is its location. It’s nestled away from the busy tourist crowds of Göreme, which means you can truly relax and soak in the beauty of the region without the noise or rush. The hotel is just a short walk from the Kızılırmak River, where we enjoyed peaceful walks every evening. The area also has some great local food options which are authentic, delicious, and not overpriced. Do book a session at the Avanos Pottery Workshop. The breakfast each morning was simply exceptional, a generous spread of fresh, locally sourced items served with a smile. We especially enjoyed starting our day on the terrace, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. If you're visiting Cappadocia and want a place that combines comfort, genuine hospitality, and a bit of tranquility, Mira Capadocia is the perfect choice.

It was a lovely stay! The hotel is located in a quaint location and the hosts were very helpful and resourceful. We came here for our anniversary and loved it! Loved our room with the Turkish bath. Our room was super clean, quiet with little touches like bathroom shoes and extra blankets. The bed was so comfortable, we just wanted to lounge around in it. The owner is amazing! Her breakfasts were the best we’ve had in Turkey with home made pastries, jams, etc. She is a wonderful host who puts a lot of care into her lodging. She even lent me a coat for the balloon ride and reserved a table at a nice restaurant for us. It was the best stay we could ever hope for.

The property was in a good location and the morning balloon flights came right over the hotel. It was only about an hour from the Kayseri airport. The staff is very friendly and they try very hard to meet your needs.

It is a lovely small town next to Goreme (famous for the hot air balloon rides and pointed rock structures) so its a short ride away with none of the hustle and bustle of a touristy town. It has many local restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, to eat at without breaking the bank. There is a promenade with on the river with jungle gyms and play areas for little kids. And fishing is also possible from the banks of the river.

The town is very beautiful and traditional. Most people speak very little English and most restaurants do not have menus in English. I personally love this and it was so nice to stay here for a few days and experience authentic Turkish culture. There is a beautiful river and an old town that comes alive at nighttime. It’s so much less touristy than Goreme and I would recommend for people wanting to avoid the crowds. So many pottery’s around and beautiful handmade items. I would have liked to explore the area more but it was a 40° heatwave so hiking was off the list.

Perfect ambiance gives you a homely feeling away from home and our host Nazlim who owns the property was extremely helpful and always available to help with ideas of exploring the city to arranging cabs with reasonable prices you will not just fall in love with the city but with this place too, away from hectic life and daily hustle to experience the serenity Adonos Konuk is your place. Prob not as busy or touristy as the other options in Kapadocia. but still easy to get to the other towns to see all the historic sites etc. beautiful river flowing thru the middle of town, with all these lovely geese, ducks, water birds. lovely to stroll around - up little pathways, hidden coffee shops, Pottery shops and restos and quick food places - depending on your budget. I cannot wait to get back here. we stayed 3 days, need at least a week.

Avanos is perfectly located for exploring many of Cappadacia's most spectacular sites, and feels like an authentic town instead of tourist trap. We spent 4 nights there and 3 full days exploring by car, and these are some of our favorite places (all reachable within 15-20min drive): 1/Zelve Open Air Museum, 2/ Pasabag Valley, 3/ Love Valley, 4/ Ortahisar Castle, 5/Uchisar Castle... Boutique hotels, like Haci Asik Konagi, are wonderful places and well worth the money. The new BigShefs restaurant on the river was our favorite place for dinner. Avanos also is the place where you find the Chez Galip pottery store/workshop. Cappadocia is famous for its pottery, but what we saw at Chez Galip is in a class of its own. (Another such store is Yastik’s in Goreme, where we found unique pillow cushions from authentic vintage materials).

Avanos is super close by to all the highlights of Capadoccia, the city at the edge of the mountains is guarded by Turkey's longest river and is an amazing option to stay at while exploring the landscapes and hitching a ride on one of the hot air balloons!

We had a fantastic stay at the Mira Cappadocia Hotel! It's a real hidden gem in Avanos, a lovely town by the river and just a short drive from the busier places like Goreme, Uchisar, and Urgup. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Our room was big, spotless, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the terrace; perfect for relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view. Breakfast was amazing too, with lots of tasty options.

The rooms were as seen in the photos on Booking.com, thoughtfully furnished in a rustic manner. It was an easy walking distance to the town and restaurants along the river edge. Breakfast was served in a garden setting and was very tasty.

The hotel decor, its interiors and the antique looks are all amazing. The owner has decorated and constructed it so well that you get an amazing feel during the stay. The breakfast is very good too. The staff is very very cooperative, helping and always smiling. The location is too good. One of the best in Avanos.
