Authentic village. We didn't want to be in a resort. The villagers were so friendly and wanted nothing in return apart from a hello back. There is a little shop just outside the gate for water etc. We got fruit for smoothies from the fruit stall in the village, they also sold sprite etc, there was a mobile shop and two lovely seafood restaurants. Our favourite was Mzuri run by a really friendly guy Hassan, wonderful succulent seafood. We loved it. It was just what we were looking for - authentic and local. The rooms are spacious and clean and are located very close to the beach and the food is simply sensational. When it's low tide, a very spectacular sand island forms in front of the hotel where a lot of tourists go to take pictures as if they all met at once.
