FAQs about hotels in Atlanta

Peachy City of Historic Importance

Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it's home to barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.

Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping center at the former downtown street level.

Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its northeast is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters with behind-the-scenes tours. Across the street is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.

In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King, Jr.’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.

More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of "Gone with the Wind.

You can count on Atl to give you the good times you’re looking for! From the Cumberland Mall to STK, to a Rooftop bar, to the Botanical Gardens, to Atlantic Station, to a concert at Maple House Amphitheater, to The Battery, to Ponce City Market, JR Crickets, it was all exceptional experiences! Especially our stay at The Crown Plaza (Perimeter) the inside was just as beautiful as the outside. We enjoyed just hanging out at the bar & the best surprise was exploring the beautiful nature trails out back! We Love Atlanta!!!! 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️

I stayed at this hotel from August 17–20, 2025, while attending an international academic conference in Atlanta. My overall experience was good, and I am very grateful to the staff for their warm hospitality and dedication. Warm Service – The front desk staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The breakfast and housekeeping teams were also hardworking and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. Perfect Location – The hotel is ideally located, just 3–5 minutes’ walk to the subway and the conference venue. Major attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, museums, and libraries are also within walking distance. The area is lively, with many restaurants and convenient public transport options. Comfortable Stay – My room was clean, with fresh linens, a comfortable adjustable air conditioner, and a spotless bathroom. The elevator worked smoothly, and I felt at ease during my stay. If the shower water pressure could be a little stronger, it would make the experience even better. Delicious Breakfast & Great Amenities – The breakfast was plentiful, fresh, and tasty, definitely a highlight of my stay! The complimentary lemon ice water in the lobby was also a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was very convenient for work and research. Safety – While there were some homeless individuals nearby, I felt safe in the area. Just a small note to avoid walking alone late at night. Overall, this was a positive and memorable stay. With its excellent location, warm service, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and fast Wi-Fi, I would be happy to return and will gladly recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues visiting Atlanta.

there was no air conditioning. no lights worked. rude front desk. charged for breakfast which was supposed to be complementary. had engineering up to fix a/c at midnight!!! did not fix it. waiting for a seat at breakfast when there were plenty of empty tables available was unacceptable. I won't go to a Hilton hotel again. especially not this one!

We took a one time trip to Atlanta to take in a Braves game and experience the attractions. Most areas of Atlanta seemed safe and we had a good time although we were out of our element in a big city setting it was okay for a few days.

Atlanta is the premier city of the south.

Atlanta is the premier city of the south. It’s definitely in the league of its own but can compare with city’s such as Las Vegas, New York, and Miami. As far as things to do places to see and had a really good food scene.

The hotel was great for what we needed it, a short pass through Atlanta during a road trip. The staff were very polite and efficient. The free parking was highly appreciated. We didn't need to go into the city, so the location was great to avoid the traffic. The room was great, spacious with all the necessary amenities (coffee machine, fridge). The price was great for the comfortable and clean premises.

Was in downtown Atlanta and we accessed easily from the Interstate. There's a bit of history to the property too. We were just stopping overnight on our trip further South and room and bathroom facilities were good.
