I liked the view and my room was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was no mirror in the bathroom for putting on make up. But everything was really fine except for the breakfast experience which was awful. I woke up early and wanted to go sit and quietly write out on the deck and have my breakfast in the open air. But there was terrible loud music way too loud too much like disco for 8 AM. And nobody could turn it down and nobody could change it. It really ruined my experience of the breakfast.

I left an item in the room. I defy anyone to successfully call the hotel and deal with the issue...it's impossible. I have now wasted most of a day just trying to contact the hotel without being immediately transferred to a Housekeeping recording where I am told to leave a message on a service which it not long enough to say what is needed. To add insult to injury, the "luxury cookies" at check in were stale!! An overpriced, very ordinary hotel.

City of Berkeley has a lot to offer because of the university life and atmosphere the wonderful bay and marina areas and great transportation facilities that connect you easily to airports, downtown Oakland and downtown San Francisco.

Berkeley has so much history and areas to explore! The UC Berkeley campus has different places to visit, such as the Botanical Gardens, Science Museum, Greek Theater, and multiple sports facilities. The area is incredibly culturally diverse, which means hundreds of food and entertainment options are sure to please.

Just and FYI. If you stay in Berkeley, please beware there are no places to park out in town except on the street. It's almost guaranteed you will be driving around for a long time to find a place to park. Most of the restaurants do not have a place for you to park if you are looking for somewhere to eat. All of the curbside parking is taken by the locals that live there, even if they are not parked there for business or dining.

Berkeley is home to the University of California and has warm, cosmopolitan feel despite it being geographically small. The restaurants are excellent, even the moderately priced ones. It, and the neighboring cities have numerous museums.
