FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

We took an Uber to Salem.

We took an Uber to Salem. Loved it but unable to get reservations to the witch museum. Enjoyed walking around, went to Cheers bar. Ate at Briccos and sail loft... both were delicious! The weather was beautiful and we need to come back for a longer visit!

Loved Boston had been there before several years ago. This trip was just a overnight stay. However, the service is excellent shuttle to airport ever 15 minutes. We ate at Hyatt due to a short layover on our way home.

Beautifull city, great schools, lots of young people, parks all over, museums, libraries, you can spend weeks and months and never get to know it all. the Charles River, waking/biking surroundings, the brownstone buildings, and shopping streets all magnificent. Restaurants and eating places, even fresh markets are all over,

Elegant city that abounds with cultural institutions, parks, and amazing architecture. It can be expensive, but there are ways of enjoying the city without spending lots of money - free arboretum, parks to take picnics, walking, and buses make transportation easy. Fun to walk around at night and see so many people out enjoying themselves, especially the students - they keep it fun!

Their is so much to do, see and eat in Boston.

Their is so much to do, see and eat in Boston. My 2 days in the city wasn't long enough so I will be going back. A personal favourite for me was the Boston Tea Party Museum, very interesting and emersive. Be sure to visit the Italian quarter for a Canoli at Mike's Pastry, the queue was out the door (the best review you can give a place) and it's worth the wait. The city is very well serviced with buses, trains and the subway but is also easy to navigate if, like me, you like to walk everywhere or you can hire a bike.

A young vibrant city that was very clean everywhere we travelled. The T system was easy to navigate and reliable. Had some great food. Any Bostonian’s we spoke with were always cheerful and helpful. We packed so much into our week. It was great - can’t wait to return!

Reception was polite and friendly and made us feel welcome and at home right away. The hotel has just the right level of comfort and luxury while being easy going and with personal attention. Our room was on a corner, not too big but comfortable, clean and with a great bed. There's a little normal street noise but for most part it's a quiet location. On the street there are tons of restaurants, shops, cafes, etc all in easy walking distance. As first time Boston tourist it was a great base to explore from.

The hotel was only a short taxi ride from the airport. The check in procedure was quick and painless. My room was not the largest but it was big enough for me. Bed was comfortable. The location next to the riverfront was excellent and close to attractions like the aquarium, Boston Harbour boat tour and the Freedom Trail.
