Small town in every way. You must travel anywhere between 1-3 hours to get into another larger town just for the essentials. Great little area though with old style homes. Does have a hospital if needed.

The hotel is really nice and very clean, and the room was enormous. It's directly in the center of town and is perfect for couples or families -- there's fast walking-access to restaurants, stores, a park and playground, and several other things to do.

I was home for my 50th High School reunion in a nearby town. Did not do much in Broken Bow. If I had stayed a day longer I might have explored it more. There are some interesting historical sites to visit of interest to me. Not a place to look for an exciting night life.

The Tumbleweed Cafe was awesome!
The Tumbleweed Cafe was awesome! The night I went there, they had a buffet that had roast beef, shrimp, chicken and various vegetables and salad bar. It was all home cooked. I was shocked when I went to pay and it was just $11.72 meal and tax. I understand they are great with menu items and for all meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I was doing research, they had a nice library and the staff at the Custer County Museum were very helpful!

It is a great small town!
It is a great small town! The town square is across the street from the hotel. There are several coffee shops, other fun little shops.
We ate at Kincaid's, a local micro brewery ( we recommend the Honey Wheat beer.) The onion rings are the best we've ever had.
Fun, relaxing time.
