I've been to Clayton many times and like the way it has changed over the years. There are several different shops to browse through and several different types of restaurants. One of my favorite things is the pier at the end of town where you can sit and watch the ships go by. Make sure to get a boat ride from Clayton Island Tours. They offer different types of boat tours. Clayton is amazing!
Clayton is amazing! We only wished that more of the restaurants and coffee shops would’ve been open during the morning hours. Many of them did not open until 4 PM. It did not give us many options for lunch. I was really sad to see that the Christmas store closed! :-(. I will be back to Clayton next year, though! Clayton is a nice, clean little village with plenty to do. Bella's has the best breakfast ! We ate lunch at the Shipwrek right on the river. Clayton is a cute town right on the St. Lawrence River. There are a few restaurants to choose from, coffee shop, gift shops and a nice place to sit and enjoy the river. Just outside of town, you can catch a boat tour of the area. There are several different tours to choose from. Clayton is located between Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay.
