Even though I grew up in Rockford, I had never been to Elgin...
Even though I grew up in Rockford, I had never been to Elgin. It was very nice and had access to many places that we were going. We especially like the food at Jimmy's Charhouse, which is located next the hotel. Great food !!!!! We also attended a party at Pinstripes in South Barrington. The room we received was not good.
The room we received was not good. Holes in the wall above the bed where something was taken off. The refrigerator made all kinds of sounds but the worst was the bathroom- floor was not clean and there was some mold around and below the bathtub. They are remodeling I guess but no one told us. The pluses are the breakfast, some of the staff and the location.Guest review byDON

Front desk lady was kind enough to give a room on first floor when I requested as well as check us in a little early. The hotel staff was overall very respectful, helpful & kind. The room was a great size, bed & pillows was sooo comfortable and both room & hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast was very good, lots of decent options.
