    Great small town. Good location for adventuring.

    Great small town. Good location for adventuring. Most shops closed because of Labor Day otherwise plenty to check out. Take the train ride. We sat in the parlor car. Chase was our chef. Had a very positive spin on our travel. Beautiful views of area. May come back for fall leaves.

    Beautiful place with lots to see and do.

    Beautiful place with lots to see and do. We have family just outside of Elkins and we love going down. We took our 5 & 9 year old grandsons and they had a blast. Lots of neat places to take them for little adventures and sight seeing.

    Overall it was a great experience.

    Overall it was a great experience. The staff was friendly ad welcoming. The breakfast had plenty of food and a good variety of options. The room was clean. My only complaint would be that the bed mattresses were firm. Some people love firm beds. I like soft beds. I had trouble sleeping but then I have trouble sleeping anywhere new I stay. I don't blame the hotel for that. It is a nice place to stay and the bathrooms were clean and lots of water pressure from the shower.

    It was a beautiful small town. The people were friendly.

    It was a beautiful small town. The people were friendly. Great restaurants and several things to do for entertainment. We took a ride on the tygarts flyer train. We ate at McDonald’s Subway and the Steer Steakhouse. We used iPhone for directions to get to all the places we wanted to go to.

    Getting across the two lanes from the hotel was difficult as...

    Getting across the two lanes from the hotel was difficult as there is not a stoplight. The town itself is very congested so getting through was difficult and a lot of places on the main streets were hard to find parking.

    For our 1 night stand during a roadtrip it was just fine. Location was nice, Elkins offers necessary services the mountains are beautiful. The staff was kind.
