Haiku was quiet, peaceful, much more local feel; The total opposite feel of Kaanapali, which is much busier and more touristy. [We stayed in both areas during our trip.] Near Haiku there are local thrift shops, weekly markets (Swap Meet), and you are surrounded by nature. The weather was fine too. Not too rainy (as was forewarned on multiple sites).

Excellent option on Maui. Would definitely recommend them and will stay again in the future. Studio had everything we were looking for and owners made the transaction and information easy to access. We loved the recommendation they had on the trip to Haleakala and Hana. Lovely village setting in Haiku. Now this may not be everyone taste but if you are looking for something of value and close to Kahului, Pa'ia, then this will be comfortable enough for 2 people.

Our stay with Yonegan was amazing!!! We came in to Maui late at night and had no trouble getting into our stay at all! The hosts had everything ready for us when we got there and it was clean. Lovely location with just a 20-30 minute drive to Wailea and Kihei!
