    Natchitoches is a beautiful city.

Natchitoches is a beautiful city. Lots of history and beautiful homes. Love the riverfront and the shops and restaurants! It is gorgeous during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, with the thousand of lights along the riverbank. The Christmas festival is so much fun! It's always the first week in December, but you need to make reservations a year ahead of time and stay IN Natchitoches near Front Street, along the river. The Hotels near I-49 on Hwy. 6 are too far (6 miles) because on Christmas Festival Saturday, the streets are closed for the Festival and you would have to walk a few miles to get there.

A lovely town. Plenty of places to eat. Restaurant staffs welcoming & helpful. You should be able to see the town & historical places in & out of town in 3 leisurely days. Layed back vacation! Just what we needed for a short getaway.

I’m a bit partial because I’m from there but, it’s the most laid back city you’ll ever want to visit. Most of the people are nice but, as in every city, you have those that take issue with others. Sad but true anywhere you go. Natchitoches is full of history. Take as many tours as you can and try and get to the tours on Cane River(where I’m actually from), you’ll love it. All sorts of things to do year round. Plan your next trip to Natchitoches and also book your stay at Chateaux St Denis on second street. Safe travels and enjoy your stay!!

We enjoyed the tourist part of the downtown area. 4 block of neat shops. Especially the Oldest General Store! I understand the Christmas displays are wonderful to see! Hopefully we can come back and see them.

Great place to visit great cajun food, they have a beatiful river walk downtown with arts and crafts and food ,lots to do,the fast food places are understaffed and the food is slow coming, don.t go to popeyes,or macdonalds, went to popeyes at 4:00 pm had to wait for 15 minutes for chicken,it was terrible and the same with mcdonalds, you are better off going to a good food place and go in and sit and order from a menu,we ate ate 3 of the top food place theere and they were great

We loved the location of the hotel, we were able to walk everywhere. The town is fun, and places to eat were wonderful. There were several places offering delivery as well. We did go during a holiday weekend when the town had activities going on. It would be the perfect place to stay in December the town is all about Christmas and even though it was October they were putting lights up.

Nice place of other époque! The only black spot - the breakfast was quite poor, served on plastic plates and had 2 chooses, not well representative for colonial style 4 stars hotel..
