New York is expensive, not a particularly easy city to navigate around. You either take cab/Uber or subway or walk. But the various neighborhoods and sights are worth the money spent and effort. You just need to be careful and aware of your surroundings. There are excellent restaurants of all varieties and ambiance. Brooklyn Botanical Garden was wonderful, a must see.

Spent 4 nights and it was enough time to do all the highlights. The city is huge if you include Brooklyn and the other suburbs so if you wanted to do everything you'd need at least a week. The city is constantly humming and is generally really busy so it has a good vibe but can be a bit much if you're not used to that sort of thing. You will also end up doing a lot of walking. Overall, the history of the place is amazing and there is so much to do and see and loads of amazing places to eat and drink so there's something for everyone.

Loved the old New York style and large room with the huge bathroom. Staff were so friendly to our dog. We wanted to walk our dog to Central Park (which was a bit of a trek from here!) but the room was perfect for relaxing in after a very long walk. Obviously with a dog we couldn’t take the subway but I think this location would be great for visiting everything in Manhattan if you can take the subway. Empire State and Times Square not that far away - the friends experience right across the street. Great coffee and pizza nearby.

Excellent apartment and the location is very good. Quiet but close to subway station, grocery store, restaurants, etc. Short ride with the subway to Manhattan, Times Square and other points of interest. The apartment was very clean and the hosts are great, always ready to assist if needed. Will surely stay again if I go back to New York.

The location is excellent. It's next to Central Park, there is Wash&Fold in the same building, in front of the hotel the is a bike rental stand, and the subway is over the corner. Also, the price is really great if you compare other places in Manhattan. You don't need to look further. This is the best place you can find in New York.
