FAQs about hotels in Pigeon Forge

A Tennessee Mountain Home

Pigeon Forge is a family entertainment hotbed in the Great Smoky Mountains. Though ‘great’ is quite an understatement, as the sight of blue mist hovering above forested peaks is simply breathtaking.

The most famous attraction is undoubtedly Dollywood, where a steam train puffs around a host of rides and shows in a theme park named after country legend Dolly Parton. Within the grounds is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, and next door are pools and waterslides at Dolly’s Splash Country.

Cowboy boots should be at the ready for the singer’s Dixie Stampede dinner theatre and the Country Tonite Theater, and toe-tapping is also virtually guaranteed at the Grand Majestic Theater and Smoky Mountain Opry.

The Old Mill is a wooden watermill on the Little Pigeon River, once part of a forge complex which sparked the town’s name. Also by the river are some Pigeon Forge outlet malls and the NASCAR SpeedPark which hosts car and truck events. The Elvis Museum houses memorabilia of ‘The King’ while the Titanic Museum is a floating, half-size replica of the doomed ship.

This is just the tip of the iceberg and with Booking.com’s great deals on pet-friendly hotels and cheap motels on Pigeon Forge Parkway, you might just be tempted to do what the town’s sign requests: Y’all come back.

Pigeon Forge is always worth the trip from Georgia.

Pigeon Forge is always worth the trip from Georgia. Our family adores going every couple of years to relax and have fun. The amount of stores and things to do is plentiful, you'll have a hard time running out of stuff to do. If you haven't been, I highly recommend going.

Pigeon Forge has some of the most beautiful mountains and forrests surrounding. If you want to hike like we did you need a car to get onto most trails. We were a bit dissapointed because we didnt realise alot of the trails wern't accessable by foot. However i recommend Smoky Bear shuttle they dropped us off at newfound gap so we could hike the Appalacian Trail and they picked us up.Brill service. Pigeon forge has some lovely restaurants and lots of things to do. The trolley bus service is a good way to get about, its cheap too and gets you to many places. Dollywood i would def recommend,we spent 3 magical days in there. and the Pink Jeep Tours were brilliant too. Recommenend the arts and crafts fair here too and the Horseriding in Pondersea.

I never realized what all I was missing by not going there sooner. I was fascinated driving around, seeing one place after another that I wanted to visit. From shops to theaters, restaurants to theme parks, all backed by incredibly beautiful mountains.

We loved the mountain roller coasters, The Comedy Barn, Pigeon Forge Snow for the indoor snow tubing. We went bear/elk hunting 2 different times, Cades Cove and Roaring Fork. Both are great scenic drives, but we weren't blessed with seeing bear or elk. We only stayed 4 nights, but we will be back soon.

We stayed at this fantastic cabin for 2 wonderful days and absolute loved it. Cabin vibes, but actually feels like a house. The cabin was cozy, clean and well-equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s in a beautiful location in the forest, but also very close to the main street in Pigeon Forge and only a short drive to Gatlinburg. The host was very kind and had taken care of every little detail. Beautiful cabin house and we highly recommend it

Good location with a soft bed in a cheap room. Multiple stays here. It's a cheap hotel and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Be prepared. I always bring cleaning supplies air freshener and bug repellent. Rooms and bathrooms are kinda small and some are in better/worse shape than others. The front desk us usually good about giving extra pillows and towels.

The room was huge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous - this hotel is part of the island entertainment and shopping area. Our riverview room was quiet with a restful balcony over the river. Relaxing is actively encouraged, including around the fireplace in the lobby.
