    This was our second stay here - this time, we stayed in Room...

    This was our second stay here - this time, we stayed in Room 123 from 5/30 to 6/2/2025. $307 for three nights. The rooms are large; the bed was very comfortable and the shower hot and strong. The Smart TV works – don’t bother with the DirecTV! Love the to-go breakfast: Jimmy Dean sandwich, yogurt, granola bar, a fruit and coffee, plates and utensils. The refrigerator/freezer and air conditioning are all super cold. The clientele appeared to be mostly travelers, not residents. A couple gripes: the property’s ice machine is still out of order, and the floor needed a mop (the shower pic is the dirt that came off my bare feet). There’s a Dollar Tree just up the road and ice is $2/bag. Grade: A.

    I wanted to explore the downtown area, but there's not much to it. I did luck out on seeing the North State Symphony at the theater, tho that was unplanned. There are two cafes, Theory and Evergreen, both full of ego-driven Important People talking on their phones and computers. Fortunately wasn't hot when I was there, though it can get HOT.

    The breakfast was good, but the staff was slow to refill the trays with food. They were not at all friendly and did not smile or even acknowledge the guests. The cable tv had very few channels and no news or movies.

    Every place we visited people were so friendly.

    Every place we visited people were so friendly. Example was at grocery store we only had 5 items and 2 sets of people let us go ahead of them because they had 1/2 to full carts. City is very clean.

    Redding seems to have invested some $ and effort in...

    Redding seems to have invested some $ and effort in revitalizing the downtown area. There was at least one other classic motel that had been updated and there were several restaurants within walking distance of the Americana Motel. Street parking was available (metered) and there were sidewalks available. Staying in town was a fun change up to staying at a chain hotel property near the interstate highway on a road trip.

    Well, my favorite parts of Redding are the hotels, the Sundial Bridge, and the other places to go to like Target, In-N-Out, Chick-Fil-A, and Quick Quack Car Wash. Honestly, Redding is a good place to visit if you like to travel, which I do.

    A brilliant hotel for our overnight stay before heading to Lassen NP. We were upgraded to a suite with a hot tub in the room, which we didn’t use as it was 37 degrees Celsius out. the room was ginormous and the price of the room was our cheapest of our month long road trip! The breakfast was good, with a good range of options including a pancake maker

    The staff at the hotel were the best we have come across on our travels! They were all so welcoming and friendly. The lady who checked us in and who gave us some spoons for our ice cream had great energy and a great smile, thank you for making our stay so lovely.
