Roscoe is a very scenic area with a very small downtown area. If you're interested in a big party scene, it's not for you. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, it fits that bill. We really enjoyed Northern Farmhouse Pasta for dinner and loved the Catskills Coffee Lodge for a late afternoon pick me up. It's the perfect place to warm up while getting a gorgeous river view. Very remote campsite in field next to a pond behind owners home. Quite a walk from parking , 1/4 mile, but very quite and serene . Pottybox in tent but we used the wilderness. Queen bunk bed with blowup mattress was fine. Room for extra tents on site. Nice deck with Adirondack chairs. Owner was nice and accommodating. 30 minutes to Bethel Woods. Town is small and quiet.
Town is small and quiet. Loved the fact I had internet and phone signal though. It’s for fisher men.. that’s all the town really had to offer. They had a wine tasting place and a bar and a few restaurants but that was it for activities. Everything was as expensive as it would have been in the city for places that’s nothing fancy.
