Location was great for the price. Frisco adventure park was only 12 min away. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. We needed to pick up a few things from Target and it was down the street. Highway 70 is a main road giving us access to many towns and we where very close and where able to sightsee. The folks were very friendly and helpful in this town. The location of Silverthorne is great. We spend a lot of time there, year-round, for recreational activities. We primarily ate at home on our recent trip; meals out were associated with skiing activities. Easy access to I70 opens possibilities for several ski areas; highway closures in (I70) are a major problem in winter. I’ve stayed in Silverthorne 5-6 times over the years, and I have always loved that it is centrally located to so many of the ski / summer resorts like Keystone, A Basin, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Vail Village, and even Beaver Creek at Vail! Since my family owned a condo in Breckenridge years ago but sold it when my siblings and I all starting having children (who are now all adults), I enjoy the mountains more in the summertime, and that’s when I choose to go up to the mountains and stay over for a couple of nights, especially since I moved to Dallas six years ago. We were only there overnight but would recommend staying a few days longer. We enjoyed the nice walking path around the area that connected with other nearby areas. We ate at the Bistro North which was recommended by the person that registered at the place we were staying. The food and service were very good--pricing was a little on the high side.
