    We enjoyed the water park and theme park. Restaurants in CF and Waterloo were very good. I grew up in CF and returned to show our family where I grew up and where relatives lived and owned businesses.

    It was cold, but staying off late road made it easy to walk...

    It was cold, but staying off late road made it easy to walk to certain locations and not far from Hy-Vee and Walmart. I ate at McDonald's, Taco John's, and Panda Express. The way around is using a city bus made it easier to go where I wanted to go. I wouldn't avoid any place when I go back for a visit.

    I was in town for the Iowa State Pool Tournament at Sullivan...

    I was in town for the Iowa State Pool Tournament at Sullivan center, a little diner like Carpenters serves a great breakfast at a good price, the owner or manager upgraded me to another room when there was Ice forming on the inside of the windows. He was sure I had plenty of coffee and everything was taken care of.

    Waterloo is home .

    Waterloo is home . We had a family reunion there so it's always good to come home and see friends and family. It's sad to see a lot of stores and businesses closed. Crossroads closed. Everything is in Cedar Falls. Build up the East side again.

    there was nothing about the Howard Johnson I would recommend...

    there was nothing about the Howard Johnson I would recommend. they called me the day of my stay and told me I didn't have a room. they then said they could change my 2 rooms to the honeymoon suite for a big discount since it was their mistake. got there and the onsite staff was nice and gave us a rate of $77.00 but now my card got charged $141.00. I am so mad at the entire situation I will never use a Wyndem hotel again they are crooks.

    The people of Waterloo are kind and friendly.

    The people of Waterloo are kind and friendly. Everyone we passed said hello or gave a smile...definitely don't get much of that where we are from. Our hotel was literally in the middle of everything. We had many choices of restaurants and shopping. Can't wait to go back.

    The hotel is absolutely beautiful and clutter-free. The lobby, the breakfast area, and the rooms are very well designed. The renovation from what the hotel used to be to what is now was money well spent!
