The weather was 80 degrees every day. The beaches had very few people. Since it was shoulder season, a lot of restaurants were closed, so there were not a lot of choices for eating out. So we cooked in quite often. With a car, it was easy to access other close by, quiet beaches. If you like quiet, uncrowded beaches, this is for you. If you like lots of restaurant, vibrant night life, renting water craft, scuba diving, etc., this is not for you.Guest review byDaleUnited States - 6.0

The location was great and was as advertised. However I felt the photos online were deceiving - on arrival the hotel looked tired and the rooms and spaces only confirmed that first impression. The house is beautifully located among trees that provide shade, and Mara, the hostess, has planted beautiful flowers in the garden. Everything was spotless clean inside and nicely decorated with attention to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped and the whole house had nets on the windows for protection against mosquitos. The beaches nearby are marvellous and La Paloma has everything one needs (super market, pharmacy, bank, etc.). Would love to return to this place :)Guest review byAntigoniGermany

Yes, it's a little creaky as it's wooden, but it exudes a warm atmosphere, especially for the younger crowd who want to feel close to nature.
