Our stay at Giang Tien Homestay was an absolute delight! The host was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The comfortable accommodations provided us with a peaceful and relaxing stay. I have so much to say about this amazing place. Phuong and his wife Ai have been our favourite hosts so far on our trip. When we arrived we discovered that Phuong had written a book on Zen Meditation and had studied under a famous zen master in France. After reading the book cover to cover on our first day, he led us in zen meditation that evening. We even booked an extra night just so we could learn as much as possible. Our room was so modern and clean and Ai’s cooking is the best we’ve had in Vietnam and we doubt it will be topped. At sunrise we took the scooter and hiked up to the lookout point overlooking Thac Ba Lake. To top off our final night we played games with the kids and laughed so much for hours. We can’t wait to go back and visit you all our next time in Vietnam.

The owner was amazing. He was very nice and offered us homemade rice wine, which he also drank with us. This is what a real customer service looks like.

Honestly staying here was the best spontaneous choice I made. I was greeted nicely after a long journey by Nam who speaks very good English. The dormitory is great, simple traditional homestay with a bed and mosquito net, plus phone charger and fan! In the evening he invited me for food with his family and he catered for me being vegetarian :) we ate well, and we drank A LOT (optional) of traditional rice whiskey which was a great time. Overall a great place made my trip to ha giang worth it. I didn't explore the nature but it looks amazing

Good and comfortable for a quick overnight stay en route to Sa Pa. Please note that the property is not on Google Maps and the coordinates given on Booking.com to copy are incorrect. Look up “Chợ Đá Quý Yên Bái” on Google Maps and that is where the guest house is.
