Wonderful place to stay, the reviews are all correct! 10/10! Excellent. Super friendly management and staff, great view from our room, delicious home cooked dinner and breakfast. Very safe and secure in lovely neighborhood. I like the serve yourself bar and memorabilia. Beautiful garden too with private car parking on the property. Big supermarket just down the hill and 5 minutes drive to main st of Ladysmith. Great base for visiting many Boer war sites and Drakensberg (northern) areas.

I understand that Ladysmith is an old town ,but ,I was very disturbed when I saw shacks right in town ,there are other areas in CBD, that were dirty ,in Small towns like Ladysmith ,we are expecting orderly and clean places especially in CBD. Municipality must enforce the by laws. We like to visit small towns .

So many restaurants that have nice food,the amazing natural views around Ladysmith,malls are around you dnt have to travel long distance if you need something,there's a museum that has lot of information about Ladysmith.

The town is very easily layed out and full of history.

The town is very easily layed out and full of history. Guided and unguided tours are available to visit the war that took place in the area. The richness in history and facts are felt throughout town. Not many restaurants available. Ensure that you do visit the area and plan enough time to visit at least two war sites.

Good place, clean. A little old and kinda spooky when the hotel has low occupance. I think the hotel could do with an upgrade/modernisation inside the rooms without compromising the historically significant architecture Nomondo was very pleasant at reception. the property is situated in a lush suburb, and overlooks ladysmith. the room was lovely, the bed was spacious. the room is airconditioned, which i imagine is a big help on very hot days.
