Mary was an amazing host, so welcoming and friendly. Her staff as well were so friendly and always waiting to help. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade bread a 10/10. Our room was spacious and had the most comfortable bed, not forgetting the view from the room to the lake; breath taking. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and are definitely going back in the near future.

We stayed at THE PLACE as a family with 2 kids for 1 month and it has been the best. We really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were nice, spacious and clean, the breakfast was very good (everyday highlights: fresh fruits, french toast and English breakfast) and there were lots of common areas that could be used including the pool, a laundry room, and a large living/dining room. Justin and the rest of the staff were so lovely and really made our stay unforgettable. We will for sure come back. The beach and lots of restaurants and cafe's are just a short walk.

We loved the huge and beautifully furnished room with its stunning dual-aspect view over both ocean and mountain, and outdoor balcony. The staff were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Well worth the climb up the steps!

My friend and I had a wonderful time at this hostel! The owners were incredibly friendly, always helpful, and gave us great tips for exploring the area. The nearby beach is absolutely beautiful – perfect for watching the sunrise and just a short walk away. The hostel itself is modern, freshly renovated, and very clean. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

    Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. It is was great to have a long beach in Muizenberg but at the time we went there we found lots of seaweed and there were some constructions going on that created unpleasant smells.

    Muizenberg is a big surf area attracting many people who love being in or close to the water. It is busy and active with plenty of action on or near the water. Plenty of eating places with great coffee to go. Not Hout Bay or Camps Bay so don't go thinking you will get fine dining and dressed up crowds. Think more bohemian and down to earth. A great vibe if you love the ebb and flow of the ocean and surfers.

    Surfers Corner specifically was a whole great vibe! A community on their own. I got to surf for the first time. People on surfers corner were friendly and open. Close enough to Checkers to buy groceries. A nice balance of food places and great places to buy swimming and surfing equipment.

    I loved the views, and the marina area is nice for running and walking. I did not go to the beach but I believe it to be good for surfing etc. a small trip South takes one to an array of vibrant restaurants. Really great atmosphere and a wonderful area to run and walk in.

    The breakfast was lovely, the views are pleasant, the bed is comfortable, nice toiletries, coffee/tea/milk in the room, friendly host and reception. Well situated with the river and mountains. Decent wardrobe. A comfortable lounge area with good chairs for reading. I'd recommend this place as it is within walking distance of Muizenberg central and chalk bay. The pricing is reasonable. Excellent Nespresso and drinks selection on sale.

    A great place to stay with good vibes ! It is a walking distance to the beach and the town for a coffee. You can buy cheap delicious fruits by crossing the road. Maryna and her team always make sure you have a good time and are always very helpful. The place is cleaned and we always meet great people. A lot of fun. Thank you very much for a great time 🥰

Very accommodating and receptive hosts with a great taste in a very trendy 2 bedroom self catering unit. The location is supurb close to the beach and all ameneties so this met my expectation exactly.
