The property is wonderfully situated next to the river and animals can be seen at all times of the day from the common area or your balcony. The game drives were absolutely amazing. We got the big 5 and so much more! Staff are lovely and guides knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Umkumbe Riverside Lodge! Best Christmas morning of my 59 years.

The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The safari experience was outstanding, thanks in large part to our wonderful guide (Sorta). The accommodations were also excellent.

Just truly a great spot inside the Kruger. Not the usual bush feel but very comfortable, really enjoyed sitting in my room hearing all the bush sounds and being surrounded by nature

We absolutely loved the staff and the very warm welcome!! The accommodations were excellent. The food was phenomenal, and the chef even prepared delicious vegetarian food for half of our family! The airport pick-up staff was friendly and starting showing us animals as we drove from the airport to our lodging. The view of the river from our private patio was just gorgeous, and we witnessed a family of elephants coming down to the river upon arrival. The evening drive and the morning drive were perfect and we were able to see the Big 5… actually only 4 ( didn’t see a rhino) but we all learned so much! We enjoyed every moment and appreciated the parka jackets ( a very cold morning!) and mountain top break with snacks with the morning game drive. FYI: the morning and evening game drives are included with your stay. Highly recommend Leopard Sands for an amazing Kruger Park experience of a lifetime!
