Historical, but also lots of wineries etc. Not much to do if you're not a foodie, or outdoorsy, probably, but if you are, it's a bit different to the usual wineries. Tulbagh was pretty with historical buildings.
Tulbagh was pretty with historical buildings. Deli and Co was super to eat and early dinner at. We checked in and went to look at the town and eat. Didn't wasn't to drive around at night with a full car. We didn't bother with breakfast just left early after the awful night and moved on. I have fallen madly in love with Tulbach. I haven't been there for years. It's simply magnificent. The surroundings are vast and spectacular. I loved the crisp cold winter air. The locals are friendly and sincere. Definitely a place everyone should visit.Guest review byKarenSouth Africa - 8.0

The property was fenced, which is a must when traveling with our furry friend. The house was warm and welcoming - it's not a 5 star hotel but more like coming home to the warm embrace of family. The cottage is surrounded by the Wittenberg mountains. We were greeted by Nadine - the horse that freely roams the property. Due to the lakes surrounding the property the bird life is exceptional. The staff were helpful and friendly making our stay very relaxing and we really enjoyed the log fired plunge pool. There is a good cafe with a limited menu but food well cooked and beautifully presented. The rooms are modern and yet cosy. A great place to arrive from Cape Town 90 minutes away and chill.
