Excellent from start to finish

This was a fantastic stay and somewhere different and unique. The accommodation was spacious, warm, clean and cosy! The attention to detail didn’t go a miss; slippers, dressing gowns, breakfast, personal message board and daily restock of essentials such as tea, coffee and fresh towels.

Tucked away in a breathtaking location, this hotel offers an unparalleled view of the surrounding natural beauty, providing a serene and picturesque escape for its guests. The Family Suite stands out for its spaciousness and immaculate cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable stay for families or groups. The comfort is further enhanced by the beds, which feature sparkling clean sheets, promising a restful night’s sleep. The suite’s bathroom is notably luxurious, boasting double sinks and spaciousness that one might expect to find in high-end American homes, adding a touch of opulence to the experience. Dining at the hotel’s on-site restaurant is a culinary delight, with delicious dinner options that cater to a variety of tastes, ensuring a satisfying end to our day. The convenience of free, easy, and ample parking accommodates guests with any car size, removing any parking hassles from the equation and making the arrival and departure process as smooth as possible.

The Hive exceeded our expectations in all regards. We travel frequently and this was among one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Aga was exceedingly helpful, from checking us into our room to serving us at the restaurant. We have never stayed at a place that was so giving with its ammenities. The room had a bountiful mini-bar and the breakfast was superb. The room itself was immaculately clean and well-appointed. It was obvious it was designed with travelers in mind. We especially appreciated the convenient outlets and light switches located on each side of the best. The bathroom was clean, towels luxurious, and bed comfortable. Free parking is available at a public lot a block away from the townhouses. I can’t recommend this property highly enough!!

I was greeted by the staff with the warmest of welcomes. I was shown to my room, where everything I needed to know was explained to me. I hadn't made plans for dinner, but the concierge immediately got me a table at the restaurant, where I had a delicious meal with extremely attentive (but not overly so) service. Perfect location in the heart of Crail, with plenty of parking nearby.

The breakfast was very good. the technology in the hotel is so over the top. We do not need a toilet seat that lifts up when you enter the bathroom. There were reading lights on both sides of the bed but a switch on only one side which made it difficult for one person to read later than the other but not be able to switch the light off without getting out of bed and walking to the other side and then walking back in the dark.. We could not understand the TV as it was far too complicated

Lovely hotel, well positioned with novel olde world charm. The always open pantry was a good addition for hungry explorers. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with everything. Bedroom and bathroom were both well fitted and equipped with everything you could possibly need.

Very upscale with a quaint feel. Breakfast was delicious and we both really enjoyed our dinner there also. Walking around the estate was both beautiful and peaceful watching the lambs run around. The rain boots were available for loan if the grounds are wet/ muddy.
