We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel RJ Santos hotel. Without exception all of the staff made us feel very welcome. We don’t speak Portuguese but everyone made a great effort to either speak English to us or to understand what we wanted. We had breakfast and our evening meals at the hotel every day and both were exceptional. The food was delicious and great value for money. Our room was spotlessly clean. If we go to Rio de Janeiro again we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel.

Great place to stay in Rio in a fun neighborhood a few blocks from the beach, staff was super helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. It was fun to hang out in the roof bar and also very convenient to have breakfast downstairs, we even had a delicious dinner in the restaurant as well one night.

The staff is amazing! At first, we’ve got a room with some stains on the wall and in the bathroom. When we’ve complained, we were upgraded to the best suit in Rio - amazing view of the beach, nice balcony and a huge livingroom. Breakfast is very good, rooftop also, with the best view of the beach and Corcovado.
