Everything! Asuncion and Javier were so welcoming. We only stayed one night to break our journey home from France. The hotel is just perfect and very stylish as was our bedroom. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. We didn't use the garden, but I could imagine it would be fab on a summer day for a barbecue. Breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. I even had a cup of Twinings English Breakfast tea. We are planning a return, possibly next year, and will stay longer than one night.

Excellent facilities - modern hotel - a bit out of town. Bed was comfy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night while on a road trip and had a light snack for dinner plus breakfast . Very good value. We are a mature couple and are travelling by car so the distance from "town" was not an issue. Would be a great base for a couple of days if exploring La Rioja by car or even bicycle.

Hotel La Capellanía is situated in the centre of San Asensio. This traditional Baroque house features ironwork from the 18th Century. Tours can be arranged to local wineries and monasteries.

Beautiful old building, tastefully restored. Lift available. Comfortabele, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Uttermost friendly hosts, who provide interesting information about the surroundings. Quiet village with some lively bars.
