When I arrived, I was informed I had been selected as 'guest of the day' and I received an upgraded room (junior suite). The room was amazing, had everything you could want and more, there was even a little plate of chocolates and forest fruits with a nice note from the hotel on the desk. Even things like the fact that there was shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower, and hand wash and cream at the sink, the tea and coffeee facilities and cold water in the fridge. There are also lots of nice touches around the hotel and restaurant, e.g. a sign that unattended children would be given an esspresso and a kitten...just lots of things that make you smile and make it feel different from a standard hotel.

The Leicester in Southport provides adults-only accommodation with a terrace, a bar and a shared lounge. Offering free private parking, the 4-star guest house is 1.6 km from Southport Beach.
