The highlight of this hotel for me and my wife was its location. The hotel is located right in the heart of the city and a few minutes walk from everything you might need. The hotel is part of a large chain and the professional behavior of the staff confirms this fact. We had no problems with our arrival, stay and departure. Our room was warm, adequate and quiet. Officers obeyed the “Do not disturb” request at the door. It was a nice experience to find household appliances such as a refrigerator and kettle in the room, which was not possible at the Scandic Solli Oslo we visited later. The choice at breakfast was adequate but not spectacular.

Set on the same grounds as the Michael Monastery in the Nordnes area of Bergen, Klosterhagen Hotel offers free WiFi and rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Bergen Aquarium is a 10-minute walk away.

This charming, family-owned hotel is set in two late 19th-century buildings by Bergen’s Nygårdsparken. The second building is across the street from the main building.

At our request hotel management gave us a ground floor room and a slight extension of check out time. Room was cozy and we liked the old style lamps in our room. All the Hotel staff were helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was plentiful with good variety.

We liked this hotel as it was in the central location and was convenient to near by attractions. The hotel was within walking distance to the public transportation and the train station. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staffs were friendly and greeted us with big smiling. We also liked this hotel for its traditionally structure and the room setup. The breakfast were excellent with various selections. Even though the dinner was light dinner, but it was enough to fill our tummy. We were extremely happy with our stay as well as the price we paid. That is why we selected this same hotel before and after the cruise.

This hotel overlooks Vågen Harbour, about 300 metres from Bergen’s fish market and 1.5 km from Bergen Central Station. It offers harbour views, free WiFi and a popular breakfast buffet.
