Had a short but pleasant stay. Angala breathes serenity and is so so beautiful. The hike up the mountain is nice and recommendable. The pools are great and the surroundings and views are amazing. Breakfast was a great plus!

The room was lovely, the products in the bathroom were lovely, the staff were friendly and attentive (even offering to make me tea every time they saw me sitting with a book), and the massage at the spa was wonderful. It was also really nice that they unexpectedly included a R400 voucher for the spa when I booked the room.

The rooms were big enough, clean and cozy. Breakfast offered variety of fruits, cheese and charcuterie. On top of that you could ask for an omelette which lovely staff prepared for you. We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely come back!

Very friendly and professional staff. The venue is centrally located and walking distance to many amenities. I liked the workarounds they implemented for loadshedding, like gas water heaters and battery powered lights. It makes the times without electricity bearable.

Property is absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. Decor is just very well thought out and luxurious and you feel spoilt being there. The whole set up is luxury from start to finish and every detail thought of. From the wood burner hot tubs to the local handmade chocolates and the evening welcome drinks with pianist and an open fire- you really couldn’t ask for more. The staff are so helpful with booking restaurants, transfers and just generally getting anything you need. The breakfast is plentiful and brilliant quality. Location is in the heart of Franschoek and is a stones throw from loads of the vineyards.
