This family-run property with free Wi-Fi offers panoramic views of the city. Exceptional service- always available and very forthcoming- really an assett for the hotel- bravo. Location is prime, view from the bar superb. Cave room is something really worth of choosing, particularly the incredible bathroom. Very comfortable beds and high quality sheets, great working space. We absolutely recomend!

Overlooking Matera’s Sasso Barisano, Fra I Sassi Residence is set in restored 17th-century buildings inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site area. It offers a sun terrace and air-conditioned rooms with stone walls and views of the historical centre. The location and view are amazing. Matera is a very challenging place to park, but we got great advanced information and a very convenient shuttle. The cave room is perfection. It is large and comfortable with a front patio area that contains a small table and chairs to admire the incredible view.

Ridola Hotel was designed in 1872 by Leonardo Ridola, a famous local architect. It still has original vaults and pavements, and its façade features a solar clock from the 1900s. The location was perfect ,very close to the historic center and within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was clean and the hosts were absolutely amazing ,warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit.
