Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can enjoy looking out into the traditional garden. Ueno Station is a 15-minute walk away. Everybody was very nice and helpful, it's in a quiet area, very nice! Breakfast is not included in the price, but it's very good!

The level of service is unsurpassed and the personnel are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our Palace side room was very well appointed, quiet, pristine clean and with nice amenities. Public areas were tastefully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast choice is wide and the food quality is superb - you will be tempted whichever type of breakfast you decide to choose - Japanese, Western, Asian/ Chinese.

It is completely non-smoking, and free private parking is available on site. It’s a gorgeous little hotel, with a cozy mountain-like atmosphere and all the amenities you may need! The taxi from the station wasn’t too bad, and if you feel like walking, you can reach the city center in half an hour. Loved the family-style place, the organization, breakfast, how everything is super well-explained with pictures and videos…it was completely worth it and I’d definitely stay there again.

The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a bathtub. The price discouraged me at first, but it was worth it. After walking every day, this was my break from it. Just laying in the private onsen on the balcony until dinner. Regarding the food. It was special. I had the steak set as I don't like seafood that much. Trust me when I say this, but you will not walk away hungry. Also, it is best not to eat before dinner. Head my warning because I did not. .

The room was spacious for Tokyo standards and they provide free coffee in the lobby!

The room was exactly as advertised. It was roomy and luxurious. Staff was also helpful. My husband celebrated his birthday there and they provided a small birthday cake for us.
