Offering direct access to Playa Norte Beach, on the beautiful island of Holbox, Holbox by Xaloc features luxurious rooms and bungalows with terraces. It has 2 outdoor swimming pools, and an à la carte restaurant. The overall experience is well worth it. I think they fit more into the category of a very good inn than a hotel, but that wasn't a problem. The location is one of the strong points, right on the beachfront and very close to downtown Holbox. The beach in front of the hotel is clean, free of rocks and seaweed, so you can enjoy the sea right in front of the hotel. The room is large and comfortable, although a small investment in some amenities could improve the experience inside. We stayed in the apartment, but there are also bungalows. The hotel has two swimming pools: one for adults only, in front of the beach and with a bar, and one at the back of the property, which is for families. We didn't use the adult pool with the bar, only the children's pool. The only downside is that there are few chairs and loungers. And if you stay in a bungalow near the family pool, you'll hear children playing all day. Breakfast is a huge plus; you can choose from a variety of dishes, from Mexican favorites to more traditional options like eggs and fruit. The portions are generous, so if you're traveling with your family, you can mix and match and everyone can have a little bit of everything. Tahamara, the staff member, was very attentive.

Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. ADO International Bus Station is 400 metres away and Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal is 400 metres from the hotel. The hotel's location is truly a standout feature. Situated just a short 3-minute walk from the beach and the bustling Paseo Del Carmen, Che Suites offers a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. The proximity to the beach made it incredibly easy to enjoy the sun and sand at any time. Additionally, the secure surroundings added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. ADO Estación Turística is 3-4 blocks away which is super convenient! You also have OXXO, Carl's Jr, Starbucks, and many clothing stores (Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Fullsand, Old Navy, etc.) less than one block away. Room was spacious, providing ample room to move around comfortably. The cleanliness of the room was also noteworthy; it was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining a spotless environment. The staff at Che Suites were not only very friendly but also went the extra mile to assist with a late check-in, ensuring a smooth start to my stay. The check-out process was equally hassle-free, making my departure from the hotel a breeze. Internet connection was stable and fast. Accessibility Note: It's worth mentioning that guests need to take stairs to access their rooms. If stairs are not an issue for you, this is a fantastic option. Personally, it added a touch of exercise to my day. Considering this factor, if you have no problem with stairs, Che Suites is a great option.

Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Certain units at the property feature a balcony with a sea view. Everything! This was easily the BEST service that we have ever had in our lives of traveling. The whole team at Carocal are so welcoming, friendly and helpful from the very moment you arrive until the moment you leave. If you’re sitting out on the beach sun lounges for sunset, staff bring you glasses of champagne to enjoy while you watch it go down. Every single night, someone brings a new mini dessert to your room and if you’re not there, they leave it in your bar fridge for you so it’s always so nice to come home to! We were even offered a cheese platter and bottle of wine to enjoy on our last night there but we were out in town so missed it - but the thought was very kind and we really appreciated it! Special shout out to Angel who remembered our preferences for breakfast every morning.

Nicely settled quiet place at a stone throw from the beach. Carefully decorated and well equipped room. Drinking water baloon, coffee and beach towels highly appreciated. Calm and quiet. Staff smiley and efficient, communication flawless. Good wifi reaching the beach area.

Casa Don Diego features air-conditioning and private bathrooms in every guest room. All rooms feature a balcony or terrace. Should be called Don Diego de los Pájaros! I did my birdwatching with a cup of coffee at the pool. Imagine a collared aracari in this green oasis in a busy part of Tulum. Hosts were very nice and helpful, for instance with their maps of their favorite restaurants and the best attractions. Breakfast under the thatched roof is wonderful.

The tropical-style suites at this beachfront hotel feature a balcony with sea views, a fan and private bathrooms with a shower, toilet and free toiletries. The location was amazing, really quite and can enjoy the (private) Beach. We have enjoyed it that much and extended one more Day. The staff are friendly and attentive, plus the breakfast was very good.

Contemporary rooms at Hotel Secreto are spacious. All include a sofa, iPod dock and a plasma TV. Ocean view rooms feature a balcony with either a queen or king size day bed. Beautiful location and very friendly staff! Great view of the pool and ocean. Nice having a not crowded beach in front of the hotel but a very short walk over to North Beach. Beds and pillows were super comfy.
