Housed in a former Alentejo convent, it dates back to the 12th century with 750 hectares. A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.

Including an extensive breakfast buffet, made up of homemade and regional goodies, before we were taken round the chocolate factory. All in all, this was the best hotel experience I've had for a very long time

On the property are also two apartments features a living area, kitchen, one or two bedroom(s) and a bathroom with shower. * Very kind, helpful hosts/proprietors, who are available to let you in at the gate when you first arrive and call them. They also explain "rules" of the property clearly and show you to your room, and check if you are interested in arranging a breakfast / other meal for an additional fee. * Beautiful property exactly as described (there are plenty of animals around the property) * A small part of the house is available at night-time, only for access to some paid food+drink the hosts make available (wine, beer, some food), as well as some free food items (cake, water, possibly coffee, I believe) * I had a car and parking was very easy as well. In my case, I was able to park right in front of my building.

It features an outdoor pool and has sweeping views over the natural surroundings and the sea. The stay at A Serenada Enoturismo has been the highlight of our trip. The staff and facilities were wonderful and the wine and food was fantastic. I will recommend it to anyone coming to Portugal!

This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. Everything. Location is amazing, house is awesome, facilities are fabulous and people are gems!
