Hotels in Baisha Old Town, Lijiang

Very friendly and helpful hotel operators with lots of tips for hiking routes. Both Chinese and English is spoken. The hotel is located 30 meters from the main shopping street but still absolutely quiet. Clean rooms. It was a very pleasant stay. Baisha as one of the 3 old towns of Lijiang is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Yulong Mountains and yet not far from Lijiangs historical old town.

Perfectly located just 5 min away from the south gates slightly off the main street. Traditional house atmosphere. Great internet connection. Feels staying with relatives (in a good sense😁) rather than at a hotel. Mandy, the manager, assisted us a lot! Two lovely dogs included ;) Definitely a place to return!

We were enchanted not only by the place itself and its location but also by the exceptional hospitality of the hosts and staff. The rooms are of the highest standard, with the hosts providing support at every step.

The hotel felt really homey, like staying with family. The rooms had that traditional wooden decor but were kitted out with super modern stuff! The staff were so friendly and joyful, we had a great chat in English with Joye. Would recommend 100%!

The hotel has a pleasant ambiance, good soundproofing, and quick staff response. A very comfortable stay!

The manager extended a warm welcome and offered us excellent suggestions for places to visit in and around Lijiang. The inn's staff is also incredibly considerate. The breakfast is simple but delicious, and the room design is quite appealing as well.

A very satisfactory accommodation, with clean rooms, well-equipped facilities, and separate wet and dry bathrooms. The salesperson was particularly enthusiastic and patient in recommending delicious food to us, even saving me the time to do a strategy. It was great, strongly recommended!

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location to explore the old town. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Jimmy, in particular, made our stay even better. He answered every question we had, organised everything, was a tour guide for the day, and gave us great restaurant recommendations. The hospitality and care for the wellness of their guests go beyond expectations and anything I have ever experienced in a hotel. From the first moment of walking through the doors and being greeted by May and HeiMi (the cat), I felt the warmness of stepping foot into Bivou-instantly, I was at a place that felt like home. Right when we stepped through the threshold, we were offered homemade bread (that I could still taste even now) and some delicious apple tea. The ayis (aunties) helped move our heavy luggage into the beautiful room, and spent time introducing the activities in the hotel, activities we could do around Lijiang, and different hikes that we could go on. Our room was so COMFORTABLE - high ceilings, spacious bathroom with a rain shower, clean and woodsy interior, and firm beds with warming mats. The welcome package included lotion, lip balm, and the most comprehensive maps of Lijiang, as well as a binder filled with activities to do. The activities weren't your typical "tourist" activities but they were incredibly curated, local gems like biking to Baishi village and going to see the Naxi orchestra (Nomi helped booked for us! Thank you!). The owner of Bivou is so fun and helpful - she gave us a map for Tiger Leaping Gorge and even helped us arrange a hotel on the trail! For a lot of my stay in Lijiang, I was sick (some food poisoning), but the ayis, especially May, kept me alive - not even exaggerating. They went out of their way to cook porridge for me, recommended and brewed red tea for my stomach ache, delivered homemade soup and dumplings up to the room, and changed the bed sheets at midnight for us. The Bivou cafe was the ONLY place I trusted to eat at because I wasn't feeling well. The food is so healthy, fresh, homecooked with love, and absolutely healing. Bivou is not your typical boutique hotel, not the Banyan, nor the Four Seasons.

Great option for Lijiang Old Town + Mandy is the best! Her makes this property worth staying at. Also, the rooms are nice!
