I had a room with a view to the Shanghai skyline and it was terrific. The location of the hotel is excellent (East Nanjing Road) and shopping and dining opportunities are plenty. The room and bathroom design were very pleasant. The hotel staff was enthusiastic and helpful.

No doubt about rating this hotels. I would give 20 if this was allowed. Everything above expectations. Design (art deco), room quality with the highest appreciation to every detail. Delicious and variable breakfest. Super helpful and understanding oersonell. Great location. Breathtaking window view. Top of the Top!

I stayed @ Waldorf on the Bund for 4 nights for work. The room is extremely clean and comfortable.
I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to Aaron Lu which works at custom services. He made me feel safe and secure. He ran miles to pick me up in the middle of nowhere when the taxi driver dumped me on the street. Fixed my nails when I am too busy to do so. Bring me drinks and ran all my errands while I am busy rush from meetings to meetings.
The level of his professionalism and care I received is absolutely incredible. He made my stay with Waldorf very enjoyable and memorable.
Thank you. :)
I will definitely coming back to stay next time I am in town.

Do not be put off by the walk way or building entrance look. There is sufficient lighting along the way to the unit. Instructions to locate the building and access to the room was very clear and detailed. The 2 bedroom, hall and kitchen are well decorated and have all the necessary utensils, cups, wine glasses fork n spoon, microwave oven, fridge, washing machine. Basically all that is needed for a family room is available. Aircon work well although have a unique way to turn on as detailed in the Instructions. There is a number lock metal luggage cabinet where you can put about 2x24" and 1 back pack luggage for pre-check in and after check-out. Instructions to clear the rubbish at the rubbish dump was very clear. The unit are protected with a CCTV outside the unit at the 5th floor.
The owner was very fast and responsive and helpful.

Fantastic Location and very authentic old shanghai style building. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was kind but it would be great if they can speak a bit of english. We communicated thru translation app though.
