The staff here was absolutely wonderful! I will return because of the service from the staff. They were patient and helpful. I had to communicate with a translator because I am not a Chinese speaker and everyone was always willing to figure out my needs. They were so nice to my children and thoughtful about them. My son got hurt and they did everything to make him feel better. Breakfast was ok and had something different each day. I enjoyed the noodle bar and my kids loved the selection of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as the candy bar! The hotel restaurant is also pretty good. The hotel is perfect for Disney. It is very far away from museums, aquarium, airport and train station.

I stayed in the J hotel for three nights. It was an amazing experience. It exceeds my expectations for a hotel in all aspects. I strongly believe that whoever travels to Shanghai, as long as financially capable, staying in this hotel is a must. Room was great. Lovely view. Great in-room amenities like espresso machine or Aromatherapy brand shampoo/conditioner. Very nice and helpful staff. I loved the bar "Le Manoir Ling" and the gentleman working there recommended a nice gin. I would also recommend taking a walk by the river on the other side of the hotel.

Staff was fantastic, even as an English-speaker who lacks confidence In his mandarin ability. The room was gorgeous, and for the price, it was a no-brainer. It’s a little bit of a hike from the subway but there is a bus that takes you there every 20ish minutes. All-in-all, a great experience!
