The building was beautiful, the bed comfortable and the staff were amazing! The lovely guy on reception gave me a great dinner recommendation, then went above and beyond to post some items to my next stop that I’d left behind! So helpful, generous and kind. Sea view room had excellent views towards Gulangyu, with information of the monuments you can see, as well as some paper and coloured pencils to draw. The decoration is quirky and fun, making reference to the culture and history of Xiamen. Location is very good, close to Zhongshan Rd and short taxi drive to Nanputuo and Xiamen Uni. The hotel receptionist, Lydia Li (guest service manager), was extremely nice and helpful, aiding us to book a tour to the Nanjing Tulou, and was very attentive as well during our stay.

This is the best hostel I have ever been to. It is situated near the Douxi road BRT station. If you are coming from airport, you can take B1 or B2 BRT buses near to the hostel. Staff is very kind and helpful. Most of them can’t speak English very well. But they try their best with language translation apps. There is also super cheap restaurant right next to the hostel. This hostel is located on the 4th floor of the building.
