I liked the brilliant way the hotelier provides the guests with all the logistics information to see all the beauty in the park. As many as 13 steps on a map - bus connections and pass set up, cable tram connections, where to walk point A to point B. Timed to get you back to the home stay for a heathly evening meal. Arranged a car to take me to see to see the Zhangjiajie cave and then to the train stations. China never disappoints.

Don’t look further, stay here! Near the West gate entrance. Thankfully that Lucas mentioned to us about the distance to the West gate. Our guide wanted to enter the East gate, which was an hour drive. We could use the washing machine (detergent incl) and hang the clothes of a dry rack. Paid extra for dinner and breakfast, the food were delicious. The room was spacious and clean just like the pictures.

The views from the hotel were amazing and peaceful! The staff went above and beyond with our needs and was very thoughtful. There are activities to participate and cute pets to play with. Super close to the national park (5mins away).

I could write a novel about how much we loved our time with Long Jing at Your Quiet Place. This felt like staying at a friend’s home. We arrived late to dinner prepared for us, and Long Jing willing to plan out our itinerary for the next day as we visited Zhangjiajie. If you’re hesitant to stay near the West Gate (Yangjiajie), don’t be! Long Jing is a master at planning an itinerary that will have you going against the crowds and seeing all the important sites without standing in line. She arranged our tickets, all transportation, all meals…EVERYTHING for us and was super attentive. Owning a homestay / hotel isn’t her first career but if there is such a thing as having a calling, this is hers. In terms of the beds and amenities, everything was super comfortable, clean, and well thought out. The food, cooked by her dad, was INCREDIBLE, and most of it came from her own garden. When I got a migraine, she suggested to me some TCM fixes and just overall was super sweet. It seems like there might be projects nearby to build bigger hotels and develop the Yangjiajie area more. If you have the opportunity, I urge you to choose Your Quiet Place over bigger establishments. I am so, SO confident you won’t regret it.

Scenery views right from the room, perfect location inside the park. Such a warm welcoming atmosphere, like visiting grandma) the owners running the guesthouse they don’t just serve, but care. They were extremely helpful and even provided perfect itinerary for exploring the area. Once I got lost there, they helped me to find the route by guiding me through wechat. The food was homemade style and the tea was something special. The guesthouse location is perfect for reaching out both sides, northern and southern parts of the park.

If you are travelling to the national park it’s the best location you can find as it is just near the entrance which is not that popular among the tourists so you can avoid the queues in the morning!
