Excellent location just off the Royal Mile for visiting festival and Tattoo. Due to location it was easy to pop back during day for a break between shows and activities. Good communication from owner. Very peaceful and clean building with friendly Porter. Apartment had plenty of crockery, additional towels, bedding etc

Beautiful historic suite in a beautiful historic location, but with great modern amenities, and helpful attentive staff. We went there for our anniversary, and loved it, and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in the Armory suite, and we loved the busts of the alchemists, the pictures of the kings of Scotland, and the steel plate armour helmets you can pick up. Not sure they are really historic though :) The restaurant is great too if you can get a reservation, but be sure to reserve early or you will miss out...
