This was a perfect place to stay during a Heathrow layover. It's in a not-too-exciting suburb, which is just what I wanted: a comfortable and quiet place to sleep, an uncrowded area to go for a walk, and a nearby restaurant (The Griddle) that cooked me a big vegan English breakfast. Robert, the proprietor, was very welcoming and advised me on a walking route that included greenspace and a historic gatehouse and church. The bed was comfortable and had a good reading light.

Oakwood is family-run, 25 minutes to central London by train and just over 5 minutes' drive to Heathrow Airport.

Everything was very good, especially considering the short notice. Owner very nice, helpful, and communicative. Room was very clean and spacious, bed comfortable.

The location of the property is awesome. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Exceptional service and the breakfast is fantastic. Close to Windsor castle and walking distance to shops.

The host was available and helpful; he booked a car to the airport for us and made some helpful recommendations. The property is over 500 years old and is beyond charming (even though we had to duck in certain places). The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and clean. I wish we could have stayed another few days.
