The Hostel Stories in Varkala is an incredibly friendly place to stay if you're visiting Varkala. I’ve been there for three weeks, and from the very first day, I felt at home—even though it was my first time in India! The hostel has a beautiful garden with hammocks, chairs, and fruit trees, always filled with good vibes and friendly people to chat with. The atmosphere is both calm and welcoming, making it easy to connect with other travelers while also having space to relax on your own. If you're traveling solo, I promise you won’t feel lonely! There’s also a lovely terrace where you can practice yoga early in the morning, hang your clothes to dry, or simply lie back and watch the stars at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hostel is just a short walk from the South Cliff, where you’ll find the amazong ocean, cafés, restaurants, and all the shops you might need. A huge thank you to Pintu and all the staff at the hostel—you made my stay unforgettable!

- Perfect location in a not very busy are of Varkala, close to beautiful cliffs - Access to the beach was very easy from the resort - Resort is front beach and you can hear the sound of the sea - Comfortable bed, spacious and well eqquiped rooms, everything clean - Amazing staff and owner. What a lovely homestay! We had a great time at Villa Akassa! The rooms were exactly like they looked on the pictures, super comfortable. The place is so well located with a great cafe right across which has steps leading you down to the beach! The breakfast was great, despite what some reviews said it was more than enough food! They gave a freshly cut bowl of fruits with our choice of breakfast!

Highly recommended! Calm, super location, greatly maintained and very clean property with polite and efficient staff. We were met with a cordial reception and breakfast, although we turned up way early after having arrived by night train. We were given a small room to rest and refresh until ours - upgraded from what we had booked, with sea view! - was ready. Our daughter in particular loved the pool! Great place for families seeking relaxation. Food is good, too.

Devi Kripa Residency is a very nice, comfortable, clean place with a very good location. We extend our stay because it was really good time and we felt there like at home. Another plus is fridge, washing mashine and kitchen 🙂 Highly reccomend

Our room was spacious with beautiful terrace to relax. The house and facilities are new, very clean and well maintained. Location is quiet, just one minute walk to the nice Odayam beach. Several decent restaurants nearby. We could choose breakfast in Blue Water Resort or home made keralas breakfast on the terrace. Faizal and his family are great hosts always ready to help onsite or via WatsApp.
