It was an absolutely unique experience to stay in an old traditional japanese house /all japanese art included, kimono, swords, furniture, games/ hosted by well educated Hideo very nice gentleman, who showed us around the house, also prepared us a cup of tea in traditional way, and we chatted about everything. Recommended to everyone who is tired of anonymous hotels and likes to meet local people.

The decor was so random and kitsch but I loved it. The outside of the hotel is like something out of a Wes Anderson film! The location was a little industrial and just off a busy road but you couldn’t hear the traffic from the room and there was a bus - the only point to mention is that the last bus back to the accommodation was fairly early so if you were planning to stay out in town past 8 pm you would have to get a taxi back. However none of this reflects badly on the hotel itself which was perfect. Very good value for money. I am very happy.
