We would highly recommend Nakaya Ryokan to anyone else we know travelling. We thought the hospitality was exceptional and we are very grateful for the experience we had. They helped us manage our luggage via storage. They were always so helpful and kind. They offer private onsens which were outstanding. Beautiful location. This was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese Ryokan and it was amazing. The dinner and breakfast buffet was wonderful, the onsen was lovely, and my room was so peaceful. I miss it already! Great place to stay to ski Tenjindaira- convienent bus across the street.

Stunning location, amazing food, wonderful hosts! We had two night here for our honeymoon and we loved everything about it. The staff were so kind, helpful, and patient. We had a massage and a facial organised by the hotel and they were both great. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The property is modern, contemporary and clean. With a wonderfully calm atmosphere and great views of the near by hills and river. Each room has its own onsen on the balcony. The staff are friendly and so helpful. They even called ahead for us to see if some things we wanted to do were open. We can’t wait to come back!

Craig, the owner, and his staff were fantastic. Always happy to help and he even offered me a ride to and from the station. They have e-bikes you can use and they provide precious informations about the area.
