There are 3 private onsens with an indoor and outdoor area, as well as 4 shared onsens, 2 for men and 2 for women. All of them are wonderful. The rooms are also spacious and clean. The highlight was definitely the excellent dinner. The area of Hirayu Onsen is out of the way, but well worth the trip if you want to get out of the city for a bit.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in Japan. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the owner is so kind. He drove us to our bus stop. Location, private onsen in the suite, kaiseki dinner is elegant and delicious, so is the delicious breakfast, both served in our room, it’s a great experience. The staffs are very warm and helpful. It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.
