The place is very unique and once can feel the love and care with which it has been built and maintained over the last years. The fruit garden is rich and diverse and the owner is passionate about sharing knowledge about it. The communal kitchen is very well equipped.The bathroom facilities are shaped in beautiful wood and stone material. The bedrooms are equally beautiful and clean. There is a large platform where you can do yoga or relax as well as a lush river just behind the house to bath in. The owners and their three friendly dogs make you feel at home that you don’t want to leave.

The best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Dario and Frederica have set up something special here in Dos Brazos, near the Corcovado National Park. Set in the heart of the jungle, in a lovely small Gold Mining village this beautiful guest house is a fantastic place to stay. Great welcome, the most comfortable bed, shower and space of our trip so far. A lovely fresh breakfast, great self catering facilities (but Frederica is a chef and will cook your dinner). Watching the jungle birds from their deck was a true joy. They went out of their way to book us a guide for a day exploring the jungle - a shout out to Jose who was a brilliant tour guide to the jungle. He grew up in the village, was fantastically knowledgeable about animals, history and Costa Rican life. Speaking excellent English. He is also a great artist - get him to show you the furniture he makes. Dos Brazos is also worth a mention such a lovely little village, the residents there welcomed guests so warmly, everyone we met had a smile and hola. Try the homemade ice creams advertised from small house! Perfect treat after a hot walk. La Casita means little house, but this is a little house with a big heart thanks to Dario and Frederica’s love and attention to detail. Awesome location close to Corcovado national park so a lot of animals literally in the garden. Very friendly hosts who offer interesting tours and helped with everything like bus times or where to go next. We planned to stay only 1 night and because we liked it so much we ended up returning and staying 6 nights and doing a lot of tours. Calm place, well equipped kitchen, cozy A-frame house with relaxing noise from a flowing river behind it. The only problem we had was the 99% humidity which makes it impossible to dry clothes after washing. There is a laundry service in the town which turned out to be well invested money. Otherwise definitely the best place we stayed so far in almost 2 months costa rica and we will definitely try to return here. We felt very close to the nature and the country also because we learned a lot about the life in CR, animals, trees and plants and also about the history of the place from Suzanna and Channi. Because of his commitment I saw my first terciopelo during the night tour which was an awesome encounter. Thanks again and we are hoping to see you two again!

The main reason we chose the place wasfor the wild animals, remote place away from the city and tranquility. This is not a luxury suite but a very rustic one. The hosts were very nice and willing to accomodate every request, helping with tours recommendations and any other request.

Amazing 2 BR house in the middle of the jungle! Clean, spacious, everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time in there. Cooked dinner outside on the patio and spent the evening watching the stars and listening to the sounds from the jungle. Saw monkeys and birds from the patio. Total relaxation. The owner of the place, Alexander, took good care of us. We could also book a guide to our Corcovado tour through him. Would highly recommend!!!

Very nice, very big unit fully equipped, ,gorgeous pool, more like a guest house than a hotel. Silence th rooster lol
