The view is outstanding. The hotel reception is perched on top of stairs with breathtaking view of the rock. The swimming pool also has an amazing view. Loved the vibe of the hotel, the room was very nice (nicer than i expected from the pictures!). The staff was very nice. We had buffet dinner and buffet breakfast and were very satisfied. The location is good, close enough to the rock to do it at sunrise then come back to the hotel to enjoy a nice breakfast.

Genuine Sri Lankan hospitality Extremely friendly and knowledgable hosts at the property who gave really good recommendations such as the safari, the rocks and local travel providers . We felt accommodated for and really enjoyed the clean, air conditioned rooms. One of the most tranquil and peaceful stays of our travels so far. Everything about this property was outstanding - the staff and the service , the room which was spacious with comfortable and huge bed , plunge pool and overlooking greenery , spacious and huge bathroom . We had booked the stay which included their Ayurvedic doctor and treatment and it was heavenly. Top notch quality and very peaceful. Note that the Ayurvedic Center closes at 4pm and rightly so. Would advice to choose full board ( breakfast , lunch and dinner) and opt for Ayurvedic food ( if you prefer vegetarian) . The food was clean , light , local and tasty. We also saw a peacock in the morning right beside our room. The team also provided us very good tips on the time we should visit the lion rock ( for sunrise to avoid crowds) and helped us book a safari to the Kaudulla national park which was one of the highlights of our stay. The property is built on over 70 acres and gives you the green , lush, expansive feel. Thank you to the staff - Chandana ( manager) , praveen , Hasitana ( the chef) and the two people who served breakfast. Everyone serves with a smile and a peaceful demeanour . I had also shared that it was my partners birthday ( a few hours before arriving) and they had made such nice birthday arrangements ( balloons , cake , room decor ). We will surely refer this place to our friends and family and be back here for sure .

I had to go to the hospital because I was bitten by a dog and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Someone came with me and made sure I was treated correctly. Big thanks to them!! Also the resort itself is very picturesque, the food is really good at the restaurant and very close to all the main sights. Staff helped us very well.

Sky Forest Lovely hotel in the forest, away from the noise of the highway. We had a lovely big room on stilts, overlooking the forest. Lots of birds, lots of privacy, super balcony to watch nature passing by. People are friendly, helpful and speak good English. The help in any way they can and organize walks in the vicinity. Meals are excellent.
