The property has 3 innovative restaurants and 2 bars, and it is Colombo’s largest and stylish event spaces. 5 star hotel. Room bit outdated. Otherwise confortable and located on the sea. Beach not really to visit (the Port City will most probably upgrade it in the future). Great breakfast (as ShangriLa has). Good in-house restaurants but expensive. The food was nevertheless very good. Nice pool on 4th floor. Extra services (transfers, spa , etc) way overpriced (transfer to airport was 75 usd quoted by the hotel while a reputable taxi Kangaroo company with invoice and metre took me to the airport for 23 usd). Conected to a Mall with lots of shopping oportunities.

The courteous personnel and management demonstrated remarkable attentiveness in catering to my every requirement. Guests can swim in the outdoor pool. The hotel also has tennis and squash courts and a gym. Exclusive to guests, The Library is a lounge by day and a club by night. We came to the hotel at 9 am after an overnight flight, waited in the lobby till 2 pm because the hotel was packed and no availability for early check-in, however all the staff were very nice and supportive, the employee in the reception gave us a room upgrade for our long wait (much appreciated) .. the hotel food was nice and well diversified and the pool was amazing, clean and had a great view!

Everything was great - the staff, the check in process, the beautiful room, the value for money on food (which was exceptional), and the special treatment the hotel gave my wife and me for our wedding anniversary! It was a true 5-star experience and we hope to be back again.
